An insider at the Foxconn factory in China has leaked images of what seems to be the shell or skeleton of the alleged "iPhone 5S". The design and the look and feel of the device resemble that of the iPhone 5. Everything is roughly the same but what makes things interesting is its hardware specifications which will undergo a major refresh in this iteration. if rumors are to be believed the iPhone 5S will carry an IGZO display. Hit the jump and take a look at the leaked images below.

Unlike Samsung, which increases the screen size with almost every iteration of its new devices, Apple will not play around with the sizes this time and the display will have exactly the same size and resolution as of the iPhone 5.

Under this shell shown above, there are slots for 2 GB of RAM, a quad-core GPU, 12 MP (megapixel) camera, NFC and the surprise package this time, a fingerprint scanner.

We all know, Apple has a penchant for secrecy and this time, too, they have kept the 5S under the wraps. As Tim Cook made it clear that the company will be rolling out whole new army of devices around September or early-October, so iPhone 5S won't come as a surprise and will surely be rolled out too, along with a budget model

And with the iOS 7 firmware still lurking in the dungeons of "beta", Apple will surely launch a new version of its flagship smartphone very soon.
