T-Mobile has announced at an official event in New York that it will become the fourth carrier in the US to offer Apple's iPhone 5 along with of AT&T, Verizon and Sprint. This is undoubtedly the first time ever that T-Mobile will be officially carrying the iPhone 5, earlier T-Mobile could only be used on an unlocked iPhone. The uncarrier will also be selling the iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 handsets in select markets only.

T-Mobile also launched its 4G LTE (Long Term Evolution) network, the new iPhone 5 will be fully compatible with it. T-Mobile’s LTE network is currently available in seven major cities : Baltimore, Houston, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Phoenix, San Jose, California and Washington D.C.

T-Mobile is really upping the game by providing flexible plans and pricing options to its consumers unlike other carriers like AT&T, Sprint and Verizon. T-Mobile surely wants subscribers of other major carriers to make a switch to its autonomus pricing plans. This proves T-Mobile has one hell of a dedicated marketing team.

Pricing and plans

Users can buy the iPhone either by paying the whole cost at once or by a two year installment plan. This marks a departure from other carriers with which consumers need to sign a two year contract to get the iPhone.

A 16GB iPhone 5 will sell for $99 down with 24 months of $20 installments. Similarly, the iPhone 4S will cost $69.99 and $20 per month cost whereas the iPhone 4 will cost $14.99 and  $20 monthly charge.
