Mozilla, the creators of the most popular web browsing tool Firefox have announced two new ultra cheap handsets based on their web- based Firefox OS. These devices are manufactured by Alcatel, a French telecommunication giant that makes very low cost handsets and communication framewrok for various carriers. In the future, Firefox might just team up with carriers in the developing nations to produce low priced devices. Read more for complete specs and features of these devices.

From the above two devices, Peak handset is obviously more "premium" than Keon and will cost a bit higher than Keon. Firefox OS will really have a hard time in taking away any marketshare from the 2 giants -- iOS and Android considering that Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 has already been knocked off the market by these two operating systems.
