The Firecore dev team have just released the updated versions of aTV Flash (black) and seas0npass jailbreak that support Apple TV 2G on iOS 5.2. They have made use of the exploits of evad3rs dev team this purpose. Here's the catch, seas0npass only untether jailbreaks the second generation Apple TV running on iOS 5.2 or older firmware versions, Apple TV 3G is still not jailbroken. Remember, plugins like Plex, Remote HD, and XBMC are not compatible with iOS 5.2.

- Added support for iOS 5.2 and bluetooth keyboard
- Backups and DVD playback improved
- Other bug fixes and improvements
The Firecore dev team have given a short tutorial to update to iOS 5.2 firmware as shown below.
- Backup your settings, navigate to Maintenance > Manage Backups menu.
- Launch seas0npass to update to iOS 5.2.
- Install the aTV Flash (black) 2.2 version.
- Install any other items through the Maintenance > Manage Extras menu.
- Restore previously saved settings, by going to Maintenance > Manage Backups menu
