Apple has released the new iOS 5.2.1 firmware version for the Apple TV for Apple TV 2G and 3G. The changelog includes security patches, improved performance and support for the redesigned Hulu Plus app. The Apple TV 5.2.1 firmware patches the security exploits used by the seas0npass untethered jailbreak which was based on the evasi0n jailbreak. So if you have a jailbroken Apple TV just keep your hands off of this update else you will lose your jailbreak for sure. Read more to take a sneak peek of the Hulu Plus app.
The new Hulu app has a boatload of GUI improvements and you would just love to update to the new firmware to use it, even if you are already jailbroken, but we advise you to stay away from it if you indeed want to protect your jailbreak.
Also, we expect the Firecore dev team to release a tethered jailbreak anytime soon. You can easily update to this firmware version by navigating to Settings > General > Update Software on your ATV boxes.

By accident I updated and I lost the jailbreak, is there any way to downgrade or at this point all I have to do is wait for the jailbreak of the 5.2.1?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
